Fortnite

1v1 KillRace rules:

1. Finding a Match: For a 1v1 tournament, the two (2) players will invite each other to a party and search for a duos game.

2. Win Condition: The winning team will be determined by the team with the largest number of total kills. If there is a tie, the tiebreaker will be determined by the last team that has a player still standing. If that is still a tie then the winner will be decided by the team that got the final kill.

• Note: Players that are downed are NOT considered standing.

3. Griefing:Teams are permitted to work together. However, you may not intentionally cause the death of your opponent or negatively impact your opponents' gameplay. This includes sabotaging structures, causing fall damage, or any other negative interference in your opponents gameplay. Doing so will result in a forfeit.

Bracket Play

1. Single Elimination: After losing a match, teams will be eliminated from the bracket.

2. Default Start Time: The start of each round will be announced by a tournament admin on the game floor and match-ups will be posted. Any player not at a PC in the gameplay area within 10 minutes of match-ups being posted will be considered a no-show forfeit and any match-up that has not entered a queue to start a match within 15 minutes of posting will result in the forfeiture of the team causing the delay. If both teams are causing delay it will be considered a double forfeit.

3. Double Forfeit: If a match is not played and neither team calls an admin requesting the forfeit win, or both teams otherwise forfeit a game/match, both teams are knocked out and neither advance.

All Matches

1. Minimum Required Players: Teams may be shorthanded by one player in order to start a game. A Team will Forfeit the Match if they are missing all of their players 10 minutes after round match-up pairings are posted. Teams will be forced to start a Game at the end of a Grace Period as outlined in the Start Time rules.

2. Lag: As the game is hosted on dedicated servers, replays will not be issued for lag.

3. Disconnections: If a player does not get into the game lobby before the start of the game, all players should back out and reform the party.

• If a player disconnects/ leave the game after the game has launched, their kills at the time of the disconnection (proof must be provided in the case of a disagreement) will be added to the kills of their teammate and the remainder of the game will continue.

Reporting

1. No Shows: All no-shows must be verified by a tournament admin. The No Show grace period time is 10 minutes after round pairings are posted. For example, if pairings are posted at 11:30 AM, the no-show time for this match would be 11:40 AM.

2. Time Limit: The winning team must report the match results within 5 minutes of its completion. Failure to report the match results on time may result in your team being disqualified.

3. Cheating: Breaking any rule and any form of cheating, glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in a forfeit of a match. Cheating, glitching, and abusing in-game mechanics accusations must be verified by a tournament admin. Punishable unsportsmanlike behavior includes, but is not limited to, excessive use of foul or degrading language. For all cheating claims, the burden of proof is on the accuser.

4. Concessions: Teams may request that they are allowed to concede victory of a game. In this case, their opponent receives a win and advances to the next round

5. Dispute Evidence: All PCs in the gameplay area are set up to record each match. Players are not allowed to stop this recording and teams who are found to have stopped the recording on their PC may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute, please call a tournament admin. The admin will use the match recording to make decisions regarding disputes.

• Warnings: Tournament admins may issue a warning for infractions including, but not limited to, the use of profane words or phrases, discussion of controversial religious topics, threats/implied violence, lack of punctuality, and failure to follow tournament staff instructions. All warnings and penalties are given to the team, not the individual player. Teams may also be warned or incur a penalty for repeated warnings in regards to the same rule. Depending on the severity of the action or conduct by a player, multiple warnings may be handed out for a single infraction, up to and including bypassing warnings and resulting in an immediate penalty.

• Penalties: After a maximum of three (3) warnings, post-warning penalties, a team is disqualified from the tournament.

• Disqualification: Some infractions may result in warnings and penalties being bypassed with immediate disqualification from the remainder of the Tournament being enforced. Examples of behavior or actions that could result in this are physical acts of violence, cheating, collusion/manipulating the bracket, drug/substance abuse on-site, any illegal activities, hate speech, and harassment.
